TOWED SPIKER AERATORS / TOWED DETHATCHERS

When you need to break up compacted soil, you need reliable equipment you can trust. We're proud to offer you our trusted brands of Towed lawn aerators from Agri-Fab, Cobra, and SCH, all can be towed by Ride on mowers / Garden Tractors with universal clevis pin connection. Lawn aerators allow air, water, nutrients and fertilizer to penetrate the soil better. Two main aerating tools exist — a spike aerator and a plug aerator. With a spike aerator, you simply use the tool to poke holes into the ground with a solid tine, or fork. Plug aerators remove a core or plug of grass and soil from the lawn. Towed Dethatchers are considered as a significant part of lawn care and maintenance because it will help get rid of the various layers of dead plants and grass that exists in your lawn. The reason why dead plants need to be removed is because they can stop nutrients and water from getting to the roots of your plants. At the same time, they can also act as the breeding ground for various diseases for your lawn that have the tendency to quickly spread out.

Ride on Mower Towed Aerators

The best time for aeration is during the growing season, when the grass can heal and fill in any open areas after soil plugs are removed. Ideally, aerate the lawn with cool season grass in the early spring or fall and those with warm season grass in the late spring.

Towed Slitter Aerator

  • Aeration with a towed slitter involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.

Towed Plug aerator

  • Plug aerators remove a core or plug of grass and soil from the lawn. For the best results, use an aerating tool or machine that actually removes plugs of soil. Poking holes is less effective
